My Stick

January 18th, 2008

Christmas 2006 again, my non-bff, Jaimi got me a music DVD and this bamboo which was only as tall as the lowest larger leaves. My husband's reply to these thoughtful gifts... MY gifts... "oh, so she got you a coaster and a stick"...
So this is my stick, it's really the only plant life I have because I have the innate ability to kill any form of plant life in my possession....
So how my stick has grown 11 whole inches in 2 years and not died is beyond me!!
My bamboo stick is like my friendship with Jaims,
it's grown bigger, and stronger, is impossible to kill,
and made my move from London to Oshawa difficult!
I love my stick...
It reminds me of Jaimi!

Awww...that's so sweet!
Although, you're not the first person that I've heard of, thinking about me when they're thinking about their "stick"...mmmhmm ;)

Bamboo are great. They are resilient and hardy, grow like crazy, and look cool. Just like friends.

My apartment receives no sunlight (hello crowded downtown buildings) so all I can grow is mold on my bathroom tile (and even that I kill).

I once tried to grow sunflowers when I had a balcony and my cat ate the fledgling stems. I'd couldn't get mad at him,he looked so cute with the bit of greenery sticking out of his mouth.
