Belle meets Trix

So, yesterday being Belle's first day in the house,
a relatively exciting day for her, new home, new people,
I decided I'd wait on introducing her to her "fur-ends"
Trix and Jax...
As you can see by Trix's fur on the side...
Belle wants NOTHING more than to play with her!
Trix is used to this sort of behavior with Jax...
We kept Belle at a safe distance on the leash,
but when Trix got close, that gave Belle the opportunity to play!

Jax got the same treatment,
it was neat seeing him play the part of the more timid creature.
Again, the only time Belle got to the rabbits is when they came within her leashed area,
even then, we'd pull her off!!

Guess a new floor arrangement is in order to ensure safe play time for all furry family members!!

I LOVE that Belle is smaller than the rabbits!!

Baby Belle

We have a new addition to our family today!!!
Belle is a miniature schnoodle,
she loves to chase and catch her tail!!
She's beautiful don't you think??

Easter Sunday

So guess what....
I forgot to put out the Easter loot for the boys last night!!!
DUH!!
So when I dragged my sorry ass outta bed,
shortly after 8am,
I pulled out their chocolate and gifts.
Fortunately, they weren't too disappointed,
they both understand how the whole
Santa, Easter Bunny and Tooth Fairy
thing works....


We pay up front and they reimburse!!

Broken Monkey

So I may be a tad of a procrastinator...
I'm going to use the defense that I'm very busy,
between work,
household chores,
and the kids...
Not to mention everything else that's gone down
with Wes of late...
Hayden wrote me this note with his Webkinz monkey
Lukas sitting near the note....

"Mom, Lukas' foot is broken, so can you please fix it for me?
It's ok if you can't though, but if you can that would be great!
P.S. It's his back left foot."

I still haven't fixed it!! It's probably been close to 2 months since I got that note,
if not longer....
It's a very simple sewing job, right on the seam.....
Guess I'll get to to after the dishes...
maybe I should just take it to work and sew it there....

Baby Bump

of her soon to be second born child....

She's due in 5 months!
I'm hoping it's a girl...

a small piece of a downward spiral that he's amidst right now.
He decided it was time to spread his wings and go out on his own,
today was my first day without all my babies under my roof...

has been being a mother.
A good one anyway!
What choices are the right ones?
How do I teach my child to make the right decisions in life?
How do I make sure he knows I will always love him?
How do I help him become a responsible,
contributing member of society?

who on March 26th will turn 19.
I've been going through a lot with him lately...
So much stress,
too much to go into really...

So today, the first of my 3 day weekend,
is my grocery day.
Being March break,
the boys and I head out into the world to get food.
Today I HONESTLY found myself looking at the things around me,
actually looking for things to take pictures of,
still not there entirely, I'd walked past this
fire hydrant once,
and almost walked past it a second time...
I just love the colours,

Another Winter Night

So not only has winter not ended,
yet again, it's here to remind us that
we do indeed live in Canada!
I assure you, other than my signature on the picture,
this photo has not been altered in any way...
that really is snow, and lots of it!

Today leaving work, the snow was so deep that I sunk into the snow, up to my knee!
I sat there laughing my ass off because of how it reminded me
of the winters when I was child!
Deep snow, tobogganing, loving it!!

I then had to help push two cars out of the parking lot at work, because
it had not yet been plowed,
likely won't be til Monday,
which means tomorrow, it'll be worse!

I assure you,
like everyone else,
I can't wait for spring...
but til then, lets make the most of what we got!!

So yesterday when I got home from work,
I noticed my work swipe badge was not hooked on my pants....
I remember it being there as I was leaving work,
where the heck did it go?
As my hubby was leaving for work last night
he found it!
In between the two front doors into my building,
Obviously the clip on the round part is broken,
so I'm guessing someone stepped on it,
WHATEVER!!
I have my card back!!
I was definitely more than a little worried!!

Public Transit

So this is how I get around,
yes it's annoying, frustrating,
and inconvenient at best.
I have to keep telling myself that its
good for our environment to use public transit.
I miss the TTC,
truly a convenient mode of transportation!
Honestly,
I work about a 6 minute drive from home,
but because only 1 bus goes down where I work,
it takes me an hour to get to work!
But really, the only time I wish we drove
is when I have to take one of my children (Hayden)
to the hospital...

Oh yeah, and in the winter!!

Friends

This is a candle holder that a very dear friend of mine, Denise,
gave me for christmas a couple years ago...
Guess I'm a valuable friend,
good to know!
One thing I've truly learned to appreciate as I've gotten older,
is girl friends.
I've had many friends over the years,
a majority of them male.
I've just connected with them better,
less of the drama that often follows young women.
That being said,
I've been so blessed to be a part of such a wonderful sisterhood.
I can't imagine how I'd make it through each of life's
rewards and challenges, without my sisters!
Being a wife & mother,
trying to balance everything with career,
I think it's not something that a man would or could understand!
Something that ONLY another woman can relate to!
I have honestly been blessed with some of the BEST females in my life!
My sister Lori, my non bff Jaimi, and countless other women
whom I honestly feel that if I called, emailed or just reached
out to them, they'd not only be there,
but they'd bring the wine and chocolate!
So yes, I love my friends,
each and everyone of them!!

I have NO clue what this is...
It however has been hanging on my wall since the
2003/04 school year.
The artist, Preston...
chalk on a black canvas.
For variety I hang it in different directions...
different picture that way,
he however, assures me that THIS
is the proper way for it to hang...

Any suggestions on what it might be?
